AB de Villiers took the second match of the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) by storm. The former South African star cricketer added 173 runs to the scoreboard at the end of 20 overs in the batting frenzy.

Villiers scored 51 off 30 balls with four fours and two sixes. Besides, opener Devdut Padikkal scored 56 off 42 balls. Another opener Aaron Finch made 29 off 26 balls.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and elected to bat first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Monday.

Australian captain Aaron Finch made a flying start with Indian cricketer Angel Padikkal. In the opening match, they scored 90 runs in 11 overs. Then the two openers returned just two balls apart.

Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli was dismissed for 14 off 13 balls with three wickets in hand. De Villiers batted in four overs. He was run out in the last over of the innings. Before that he played four fours and two sixes in just 30 balls in a brilliant innings of 51 runs.
