The philosopher Aristotle was born in 384 BC in the city of Stasia in Greece. He gave a very realistic idea about different aspects of education. Plato's favorite gifted disciple founded an academic institution called Lyceum and promoted his philosophy. The ascending method of acquiring knowledge introduced by him is still the most common method of organized knowledge practice.

We know that education is an increase in a person's knowledge and skills, a positive change in behavior and attitude. Aristotle, while defining education, said that education is to make people honest and moral. And the catalyst of that education is three :

1.Temperament

2.Habit

3.Hudgment intellect.

Explaining nature, Aristotle said that in order to teach man, one must first know his nature or the nature of the soul. There is no benefit in educating non-human beings. According to him, the basic feature of the human soul is activism. He has divided activism into three levels.

1) The lowest is the plant layer. Whose work is birth, reproduction and destruction.

2) The second level is the animal level. Here without the first level of work and sensitivity, appetite, mobility, etc. are added.

3) This level is the level of judgment. And at this level man emerges as a separate entity from other animals. And the intellect of judgment is a special feature of man.

Moral qualities are a habit. According to Aristotle, the ability to do anything has to be achieved through work. And to acquire honest qualities is to combine instinct and judgment.

Judgment consists of two parts of intellect or wisdom - 1) theoretical 2) practical. Practical wisdom combines the work of the plant and animal levels. And the work of theoretical wisdom is - to think philosophically or to think of eternal truth.

He also gives clear ideas about students in pedagogy. According to him, students must maintain a standard of all work. And the value is happiness. And the purpose of all work is to make you happy. This quality or happiness is possible only through the practice of moral virtues. And wisdom acts as its catalyst.

According to Aristotle, in order to create a healthy mind with virtues, the emphasis must be on building a physically and mentally healthy student. He also spoke about providing music, history, science, sociology and vocational education.

He gave the idea of ascending method for teaching and acquiring knowledge to the students. First we have to observe real events through experience. Then by applying intellect or reasoning, general or general formulas have to be extracted from them. And this is the ascending method. This method is still used today for acquiring organized knowledge.

Knowledge requires both experience and logic - Aristotle is called the father of realism. The revered philosopher Aristotle died in 322 BC in the Greek city of Colchus.
