Mainstream media: Honest journalism or state propaganda?

3 35

If you're wondering whether or not the mainstream media is controlled by the state, you need only ask one question: Has the BBC, CNN, FOX News, ITV, MSNBC, Sky News or any other mainstream media news network EVER questioned the legitimacy of government, as an institution?

Have you ever seen a news program, in all your years watching television, questioning the fundamental nature of political authority and asking whether or not we need politicians to govern our lives?

The talking heads of CNN and FOX News will bleat like sheep about how you must vote Democrat or Republican, but they will never encourage you not to vote. They will never tell you that you are the sole governor of your life, and that no president, prime minster, king or queen has any legitimate authority over you.

That is how you can know, without any shred of doubt, that the mainstream media is directly controlled by the government. As I have said before, the government controls the body, the media controls the mind. The government can only get away with its continual assault on human freedom due to the daily propaganda of the mainstream media, infecting the minds of all those who choose to consume it, like a virus.

99 percent of what qualifies as journalism in today's world consists of news reporters blindly parroting whatever they are told by the authorities and presenting it to the public as undeniable truth.

Example: "UK government has damning evidence that Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction -- poses imminent threat to West." (LIE)

Real journalism, in that case, would consist of investigating said 'evidence' to determine whether or not the government was telling the truth, rather than blindly repeating the official narrative with the sole purpose of injecting fear into the public consciousness.

Given the government's track record of lies, propaganda and warmongering, anything and everything that comes out of their mouth should be RIGOROUSLY and METICULOUSLY investigated before being reported to the public. In fact, the assumption should be that they are lying.

"The man who reads nothing at all is better educated than the man who reads nothing but newspapers, insofar as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.” - Thomas Jefferson

Agreed! Thats why I choose to NOT spend my precious time with them at all and just ignore them. Dino-Media can be good as a contrarian indicator though!

One of their more insidious forms of deception is lying by omission!
