A thief in the barracks. I wonder why people love to make others cry and feel pain just because of their selfish interests. Most times I see it to be a crime punishable by death but at times when we go deep into some people’s lives and see what they passed through to have resulted in what they have done then you might later pity them out of love. But some are just ruthless and careless to anyone. All they want is their stingy mind to be satisfied. I have been a victim when I had my phone and my friend's phone was stolen in the same bag in our bags just because I had exams and kept the bag with a shop owner. Who knows maybe she was a part of the plan or not. But the best thing she told us was that a friend of mine just came to pick up the back recently. I called my friend to confirm but he was with me throughout even in the exam hall. How come? How did that just happen? Our phones were long gone into the land of the unknown? We tried finding it but we couldn’t find a trace of it. Moments later we found the bag emptied 😢. The consequence of the theft case wasn’t limited to sadness from not having a phone to use but we also missed out on an impromptu rescheduled examination which led to a carry-over for us. Yeah the thief would have been much happier that day when he stole them but how about today? Where is the phone? Or even the money he got probably he sold them off. **In the barracks**
I was having a nice rest after staying awake through the night. Then I slept around 3 am. Just two hours after. We could hear someone scream!! **My phone!! My phone! My phone!!.** I woke up and realized the noise was directly from the opposite block. *What could have happened this morning?* We got closer and asked what could be the cause of the scream. Then she narrated ***“I saw someone walking out of my room. Then I couldn’t find my phone anymore”.*** **Someone asked her if she never locked the door before sleeping then she replied** ***“I locked the door, the person tore the door net and opened the lock then came inside and took my phone”*** Her phone was quite a new one she just bought not up to two months ago. She couldn’t cry but she would have wished to grab her hands on the thief and see who that could be. I could see the sadness in her look and speech. Her mind wasn’t at rest just like she had lost a soul much more dear to her. Since that is what our device turned out to be nowadays. I could feel her pain. Someone from the neighboring room heard the noise and came out asking what happened. After hearing that, he added, “I think I know the person who stole the phone, it could be one of my students whom I saw in the backyard when I wanted to pour away some dirty water I used in the kitchen. He wore a white inner vest and greeted me and I was trying to challenge him of what he could be doing outside by this time of the day”. He should be the one. He concluded. The blockhead already reported the case to the military police 👮♀️. Then they went for the boy and grabbed him. He requested to put on a shirt but they grabbed him to the crime scene. The witness who saw him was told to question him. But he denied he never greeted him because he wasn’t outside. He got a slap on his face and the Military police drove off with the suspect, the victim, and the witness. By 9:00 am this morning we got the news that the phone was recovered from the boy who was caught to be the thief. The most painful part is that he is still a small boy with the age range of 14-16. And he already started his career with stealing. That’s just so poor and sad to hear. Sometimes I even see stealing as a curse, because you see some people steal other people’s things, meanwhile, they already have enough of that thing or they do not need it. But they would just have to steal other people's things. **What do you think should be done to the boy??**

Too bad, what could have led a boy of that age to steal? I don't know the right judgment for him but he deserves to be punished. Teenagers these days are very dangerous because they want to look good and use expensive things. The guys are committing terrible crimes while the girls are going into full-time prostitution.
Only God can help our generation. I was so amazed when I saw the boy standing in front of me. Anyways I know he might not be jailed or some other kind of though punishment. But he deserves to be disciplined
What you said was true, sometimes other ppl don't care if someone sturggled because of what they do. They need to asked first and open their eyes or their minds. I feel bad for him
It’s quite better to beg for something than to result to stealing. It so much of a bad habit
I was very upset to hear that. Stealing is a very bad thing. Punishment is required no matter who steals. This happens to many.
That’s true. But since he is below the age to be punishable by the law. Maybe some other kind of punishment would be given to him
I am sad to hear about your phone and later what happened with the lady. It always hurts to see where most of our youngsters are going. He is even 14 to 16, but he become thief, I think instead of punishment, he should be educate and trained well to left this bad habit.
He is a son to a soldier. I don’t know what might be done to him but he deserves some act of discipline
Stealing is not ordinary, it has a spirit. It may not be curse per say but once the Spirit enters you, it'd be hard to leave. I had an heartbreaking encounter some months ago. Some months ago, our company recruited a very beautiful lady as one of the staffs, she had all the spec I admires in a lady, so I was crushing on her, but when I found out that she steals, it broke my heart. We caught her in the heart but she denied. I pondered, what would make this lady to the stealing while she has a well to do boyfriend. Sometimes it's not because they are hungry, it's just the spirit in them
Imagine that? How pretty and standard she could be. What else would she have need? . Even I think it’s better to beg for something then if they wish like they would render it out. And if they don’t, we just have to take us a message to double our hustle. Sad to hear about this lady
Stealing is not something out of whim specially for a that age. It's important to know what the reason behind his theft is, maybe it is just a cry for help...
