Dengue Fever

Dengue is not an uncommon disease in our country. It is aviral disease like influenza or other viral ones and absolutely self limiting disease. Now let's have a link about dengue. This is the commonest arthropod born viral infection in humans. 50-100million cases occur every year in the tropics with over 10,000 deaths from dengue hemorrhage fever. Dengue is caused by a flavi virus. It is found mainly in Asia,South America and Africa. Four different Antigenic varieties of the dengue viruses are recognized and all are transmitted by the day time bitting Aedes Aedes Aegypty mosquito.
