Nigeria should cut down on importation.
The exchange rate of Nigeria 🇳🇬 Naira against USA 🇺🇸 Dollar is at alarming rate. This situation is really affecting us negatively in this our country called Nigeria.
Nigeria do import most of the things it use which has led to devaluation of our currency.
This has gotten to an extent that the speed of inflation of Nigeria currency isn’t good anymore. We now find it difficult to buy those imported goods due to exchange rate that has caused the importers to hype the prices of goods.
My new client found it difficult giving out his job to me due to high price of materials. It looks as if we’re just laboring for China 🇨🇳 which supplies to Nigeria
This is the aluminum profiles that we work with in building doors and windows here in Nigeria, most of them are being imported from China 🇨🇳
It’s not that they’re not produced here in Nigeria, they are, but it’s in the hands of a few private companies which fix prices as they like, and as result making made in Nigeria aluminum profiles unaffordable.
How I wish that my government will look critically into this matter and see how they can fix this problem. Just like America is cutting down on America’s companies functions in China for chipper labor etc. it is true that Nigeria may not have their industries overseas like in China, but we can try to stabilize our economy by encouraging home made goods.
I went out for a market survey, and found out that these materials that we use is shooting higher in prices day by day. What shall the innocent poor citizens do at this time?
Well we hope that our votes will always count so that we can always put in power those that has our dear country at heart.
Thanks for coming.
All the pictures used in this blog post except the screenshot of exchange rate were taken from my iphone today during my walk in the market.
My country is in real mess, only God cab handle our situation the spike in dollar price has made situations worst and unpleasing in this country.
