Nothing but a blinded hope! what a demoralized system, a system that has nothing to offer to the upcoming Generation, a system that will always be a treat to the to the citizen of the country and I asked, when is this going to end?will it continue forever?
**when are we going to be free from this bondage?** **when will our voices be heard?** **when will our cry got to their ear?** **when will peace be restored?** **when will our hope come true?because all I could see is a blurred future.** I love my country Nigerian, it's a country blessed with all sorts of mineral resources , A land filled with milk and honey, but all turned to be bitterness. The government has failed the citizens. they have nothing to offer us rather than to suffer and wallow in pain. `Today Makes it a year that majority of our youth were killed at Lekki toll-gate in Lagos State just because we are fighting for freedom, they are tired of living in bondage , they tried to speak up but everything turns out to be a blood bath.` Peaceful innocent Protestants were massacred by it's own government just to silence them. is that how a leader should do? Each moment I remember the massacre , I cannot help but to shed tears. it was indeed an unforgettable memory. May the soul of all those who lost their life during that time rest in peace. They are indeed an hero who stood up to fight for the freedom of their country. where is the hope? This question keep on ringing in my head when, we have been hoping for a better Nigeria but the more we are waiting the more it's demoralizing . And adage in Youruba will say , Ogede n baje, a lo n pon.( A banana is getting spoilt and we said it's getting ripe) the issue about Nigeria is best described that way. when will their insight be opened to all these things happening. it's been long that we have been hoping for a better Nigeria , since when I was a kid, but instead of becoming better, reverse happens to be the case. where is our hope? ***all i can see is nothing but a blinded hope***, I could not see the possibility of a better Nigeria because we are being ruled my the same set of people, we are just revolving in a circle. and what did we expect from a circle? we will only remain like a stagnant water that will be filled with different kind of impurities . and that's nothing but the facts. They collect money with Forcefully from the citizens who are working hard to put food on their tables and I ask again, are these people not paid for the job they are doing ? why will they be collecting money from citizens for no reason? But the truth is that, they are being paid, but they will never be contented without the one they will take from the citizens secretly. **Talking about insecurity** One of the major duties of the government is to make sure the citizens are safe at all cost but Nigeria is the opposite. they don't care if the citizens are safe or not, all they care about is their own safety and the safety of their families. kidnapping And Killings become the order of the day and yet the government are doing nothing to curb it, what a failed system we just have to be careful to secure ourselves from any harm , depending on the government is meaningless so to say. Freedom of speech Our voices are hidden, and when we try to speak up , they'll look for all means to silence us. where is the freedom? we are not given freedom to express ourselves, are we slaves? I could remember about the history I read , when padlock are being used to lock their mouths to prevent them from talking , so what the difference between slaves and the present situations we are now, any one who tries to talk will dance to their tune , imagine the Lekki massacre. But the remains that, if the government failed us, we should not fail ourselves. Are you serious today is @olasquare birthday? Let the party begin If Nigeria was a project, then it is a failed one. I really don't know where we got it wrong but one thing that is certain to me is that we might not get it right again with the country's situation of things.

It's a terrible case, since how years of Independence, nothing to write home about. Sometimes in my imagination, I just wish if the British will come and to do something, maybe by then all of these our leaders will have sense... hehehehe 😆 But not possible again, we keep on trying our best.
Don't be surprised that the British have a hand in our problems, they will be at a loss if we are united. What has United Nations been able to do, aren't they seeing what's happening? If it were to be an European country, bbc and cnn wouldn't stop broadcasting.
Hmm, is such a pity that majority of us are are not aware of these things, they are leading us blindly. Majority of times we have cried to British but yet they did not do anything, imagine the massacre that happened last year , I was thinking they will do something about it but they keep on looking at us with their hand on their chin. Will I say no how for us again??? Are we going to be hopeless forever ???
Something will come up at some point but we definitely don't know when probably the next few generations will be able to accomplish the task.

First, this is a great privilege to say happy birthday to @Olasquare for his consistency here and for having a good heart. Nigeria is not a failed state despite all that she is undergoing presently. If you take time to study all those nations that are standing today, you will find that at a point in their history, they had a worse case than what we are experiencing now in Nigeria. This is only a phase and we shall cross it to a better level.

Hmm, you're right, I think Ghana was worse than this before and today they are doing fine. But Nigeria can only be like that if something can be done about our leaders.
To hope without choosing to be part of the process that gives life to that hope is madness. As far as prayer goes, God has given us all we need, as he wont send angels amongst men or come down by himself for us, for we are not Isreal
What a thoughtful word with a deep meaning. We just have to stand up on our feet to fight against all those things, just like what I say... The case should not be '' if can't beat them we Join them'' Instead we should always find a way to put things aright for the situation of things to change for good. God cannot come down from heaven to assist us, we are going to make it work out ourselves just like you said. Though might not seems easy.

Majority I've lost hope in Nigeria , I'm not excluded , but my wish is that the death of all our fallen heroes will not go in vain. I just crave for a change 😭 I'm sick and tired of all the bad things happening in Nigeria.
I actually believe that we the citizens are part of the problems of Nigeria. Bribery and corruption doesn't just start from the government, it starts from individuals. I notice a lot of cases like that in the university, during ordinary faculty election you will see people snatching ballot boxes, makes you wonder what they will do if they are running for presidency in the future.
You're absolutely right! The government are doing theirs at the high level and we too as citizens are still doing the same thing to ourselves and we are praying for a better Nigeria. How is that possible when we ourselves is corrupt ? It can only take God intervention for Nigeria to become a better country, because the foundation is faulty already.

I think what we face in Nigeria with every citizen is believing too quickly in every person. this current government is the worst in Nigeria history. I do help for a break through. The killing still makes me sad everytime and I pray for the strength of those who lost loved ones.
We are in already, but we just have to look for a way out. But the painful part is that, the more the citizens are trying to look for a way out they more they are oppressing us because they are in Power. The hope could no longer be found, i just wish all our leaders are wiped off in a day , but Gods way is different from men way.
