This question has been on my mind since morning. The day began with the news of Chadwick Boseman's death. He was the one who played T'Challa in Black Panther. Yes, the Wakanda Prince. He had been ill since 2016, yet that didn't stop him from giving us some of his best movies before he finally passed away. If he could, how about you and I?
Shortly after that came the news of Captain Chika Ernest, a pilot in Opebi Lagos who crashed shortly after laughing with his colleagues. He minimised death by emptying the gas tank to avoid explosion on impact and crashed on a fence avoiding houses. He died alone while saving lives in the process.
2020 is wilding. The wildest year ever. Yet packed with lessons.
Their death hit home, just like many others. This year came with the biggest lessons in life for me. I've grown so much this year alone, more that I had in the past years. I don't know about you.
How are you living? What impact are you leaving behind? Are you building a good legacy, something people will remember and be happy they knew you? Or are you snoring, waiting for it all to be over? You don't have to be famous to make an impact. The people around you are a starting point.
Be happy.
Do things you love and don't forget to look after others.
Life is so fickle.
