  • We're living in a time when we're asked to feel too much all the time. Its a constant flow of fear and anxiety, streaming to you 24/7. So we're all struggling with numbness, and it's hard for us to focus on God's presence when there's so much coming at us. Its hard to be still. So you need to determine what you need to do practically to find the stillness. What can you do to keep a grounded and settled heart in such a fragmented world? The problem is: nobody can make that game plan for you.

People might tell you, You should limit the time spent on your phone, or you should pray an hour a day or you should read five chapters of the Bible every day...- All of those things are fine, but you have to find the rhythm that works for you. There's no one-size -fits-all plan for connecting with God's presence. Try noticing the moments when you do feel God and carry those with you into the moments when you don't. Try noticing those good days when you sense God all around you. Because if you really stop and think about it, you have many amazing moments with God. But maybe you don't let them sink in as deeply anymore. Maybe you've let the worries of the world outweigh the goodness of God in your thought life. So you have to learn to recognize the moments when you feel Him and say, "This is a good moment. God is with me in this moment."
