Physics and attitude to life

Some scientists try to draw conclusions from several theories to be used and taken as lessons or as references in sunnatullah, then the universe is understood to have an order whose order is evidence of nature's submission to God's commands. That way, if scientists make several theories to deal with life, then it's not something wrong. That attitude, for example, tries to make classical physics material and modern physics material as an attitude to make it more wise.

If we study physics, the material we study can be grouped into material within the scope of classical physics and modern physics. Classical physics and modern physics are not related to the problem of the times. Regardless of the times, classical physics will remain classical physics and modern physics will remain modern physics. Classical physics and modern physics are related to the objects we study. Objects studied in classical physics are objects of medium size. While the object studied in modern physics in which there is newtonian mechanics is very, very small and its speed is very, very fast (perhaps approaching the speed of light 300,000 km per second). In physics there are always equations or formulas that can describe and or explain a physical phenomenon, so we will know the formulas that exist within the scope of classical physics such as some formulas in Newton's laws, also recognize formulas in the scope of modern physics such as Einstein's theory of relativity. , scrodinger equation etc.

The formulas in classical physics will not be able to describe and or explain the phenomena that exist in modern physics. More specifically, if there is a phenomenon whose object is very, very small, then using classical physics formulas that phenomenon will not be able to be explained. But on the contrary, the formulas that exist within the scope of modern physics are still possible to describe and or explain phenomena whose objects exist in classical physics.

So it's not enough for us to just study classical physics, but we really need to also study modern physics to better understand natural phenomena. In the Qur'an, Surah Al-Kahf, there is an interesting story in which the prophet Musa went on an odyssey that finally met Prophet Khidir and Prophet Musa expressed his desire to learn a lot from Prophet Khidir. There are many interesting things that can be learned from this journey. Prophet Khidir got a boat and drilled a hole in it so it leaked. The Prophet Khidr met a young man and killed him. This incident made Moses impatient because Prophet Khidir clearly violated the Shari'ah (read Al-Kahf for more details).

If we relate the incident to classical physics and modern physics, it can be said that the prophet Khidir used the formulas that exist in modern physics while the prophet Moses used classical physics. So that makes Moses impatient. In other words, Prophet Musa was still in the exoteric scope (Shari'ah) but Prophet Khidir was able to understand what was behind the Shari'ah. It can also be said that the Prophet Khidir was already in the esoteric sphere (Hakikat). So to better understand natural phenomena, it is not enough just to study classical physics, but it is very necessary to also study modern physics. or it is not enough for us to just learn about the exoteric (shari'ah) but we also need to learn about esoteric issues (the essence) so as to make us wiser in interpreting life and acting in life.

Thank you for those of you who have read my article to the end, I hope I can still write articles for all of you.

See you in my next article,,,,
