Friday Prayer Obligations for Muslims
Good afternoon dear Read.Cash users, This afternoon I would like to write an article about "Friday Prayer Obligations for Muslims".
Allah pays great attention to Friday prayers. On that occasion All Muslims gather in the Grand Mosque to listen to the sermon a preacher who will advise them, and invite them to remember and obey Allah, and follow the sunnah of His Prophet sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam.
Prayer is the link between a servant and his Lord and has position like the head in Islam. in the sunnah it is stated, "the root of all" something is Islam, the pillar of Islam is prayer, and the pinnacle is Jihad Fi Sabilillah".
The first Friday prayer was performed by the Messenger of Allah (SAW) in Medina, at the time of he emigrated from Mecca to Medina: that is when he arrived at Qubah. Friday prayer The first was carried out in a village 'Amru bin Auf'. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) arrived at Qubah in Monday and stay here until Thursday, during which time he build / erect a mosque for the prayers of the Muslims in Qubah.
The law of attending Friday prayers is obligatory for every Muslim, except for four people: Slaves, Women, Children, and the Sick, This was confirmed by the Prophet SAW in the Hadith:
للا للا ال: ال ل هللا لّى للا ليه لّم . ال ا لُو ا اةٌ َمِري ) ابوداود لى لّ لٍم اال لَى اَ :
It means: Friday prayer is an obligation for every Muslim in congregation, except (not required) for four people, namely, slaves, women, small children and sick people . (Narrated by Abu Dawud).
Friday prayers, two raka'at fardhu prayers on Fridays and are performed on Zhuhur time after two sermons. people who have performed Friday prayers, no required to perform the Zuhr prayer again. Friday prayer Fardhu 'ain for everyone Mukallaf Muslim, male, free, healthy and not a traveler.
As the Word of God in the Qur'an Surah Al Jumuah verses 9-10 which means:
Verse 9: O you who believe, when called upon to perform the Friday prayer, then hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave trading. like that it is better for you if you know.
Verse 10: When the prayer has been performed, then you will be scattered on the earth; and seek the bounty of Allah and remember Allah much so that you may be successful.”
Strictly speaking this verse is an order to perform Friday prayers if have heard the call to prayer, if the call to prayer has been sounded then leave everything activity and hurry up for Friday prayer, when Friday prayer has been fulfilled then ordered to return to seek Allah's bounty or fetch sustenance, Behavior that reflects an understanding of Surah Al-Jumuah is as follows: Muslims should always pray solemnly and precisely time, always work well without forgetting to worship Allah, Prioritize worship over work. Scholars agree that Friday prayer is fardu ain for everyone Mukallaf, they blame people who think that Friday prayers are fardu kifayah. Friday prayer is also not obligatory for blind people if there is no one that guides him.
Thus according to the agreement of the four Imams of the Madhab if he finds someone who leads him then he must pray Friday.
That's the opinion Maliki, Shafi'i, Hambali. Meanwhile, Hanafi believes that it is not mandatory. People who are outside the city, in a place where prayer is not required Friday for him, but he hears the call to prayer, then he must attend it, so the opinion of Maliki, Shafi'i and Hambali, while the opinion of Imam Hanafi living outside the city, it is not obligatory for Friday prayers even if he hears the call to prayer.
There are several circumstances that make someone who should be obligated perform the Friday prayer, but it is permissible not to attend Friday (Friday prayers) are: Heavy rains, strong winds, and floods make it difficult for people to get out house to the mosque.
And other things that can be aging (obstacles) for someone not to Friday prayers include:
1. On the way (Safar).
2. It hurts to go to the mosque.
3. Resists the discharge of something from two ways (qubul and anus).
4. Worried about his safety (a gripping fear).
5. Being assigned to maintain the operation of valuable equipment.
In conclusion:
Friday prayers are obligatory for Muslim men who are in good health, and are not obligatory for those who are sick, children who are not yet mature, slaves (slaves), and Muslim women and are not obligatory for people who are at war. . However, if the male Muslim is in a trading condition, then the male Muslim must leave his merchandise.
