This story took place in the late 60s while our family lived in barangay Bayan-bayan, Labo, Camarines Norte. The story revolves around a black cat that is being cared for by older brother Berto, brother Jaime's brother who is the family, my grandfather's caretaker in the coconut he turned into a cattle ranch for additional income on the land. When I go to their house not far from our house, I pay attention to the care of brother Berto who is a black cat because at this time, the cat is sometimes this color. I was very surprised when Berto said that he intends to make the cat into a cock with a blackish-black cat, as well as the eyes and nails.

"You mean, you're going to bury your pet cat alive and pick up the bones when Good Friday comes?" I asked because I had repeatedly heard the story about the black cat that makes amulets in cockfighting.

"Yes", replied brother Berto. "And it will definitely be an effective amulet for cockfighting because the color of the feathers, eyes and nails is so black!"

"Just use another amulet for cockfighting, brother Berto", I said with mixed pleas due to the great pity for the cat. "Pity your pet!"

"I'm sorry", replied brother Berto. "That's really my plan so I asked our relatives in town!"

Because of my great pity for the black cat, I once again repeated the request to brother Berto to use another amulet but he did not listen. A few days later, I did not see the black cat when I went to their house so I did not ask because I already knew what had happened, the animal of life was buried to make amulets in cockfighting.

Kuya Berto's burial of the life of his black foster cat became an important event for me so I waited for the arrival of Good Friday, the day he would dig the buried animal to take the bones and make amulets with cockfighting. So when the day I was waiting for came, I went to Jaime's house to see the cock amulet from the bones of a black cat.

"Sure, I will win one by one as I will use an amulet from the bones of a black cat", brother Berto assured as he watched the bones soaked in a jar of water.

"Hopefully, so that the sacrifice of your pet cat will not be wasted", I replied once again pinching the heart of great pity for the animal.

I can no longer remember what happened to the alleged black cat amulet bones because I had no interest in this hobby because I felt sorry for the chickens that fought until they died with a sharp and sharp dagger weapon. Brother Berto sowed the seeds he used to use the aforementioned amulet in the sheep that was often made in barangay Bayan-bayan at that time.

I have a belief that every writer eventually finds their voice as a writer. We start out in this beautiful moment where everything is possible. As newbies, we’re in it for the stories — not for the complexities of the market. Every good story starts with a spark of inspiration, an idea. What matters to the new writer is not who is going to read that thing, but instead crafting that idea into something people will want to read. Marky stories are not only for children, but adult may want to read this also as if the stories have love, fiction, epic and many more, I'm not only focusing in one theme, because every day, readers want something new, something that is not published before.
