Blog: Save money in these StayCation Tips!
Sometimes, we just want to relax and unwind after a very hectic week at work. Especially as summer approaches and the sun rises again, it seems so nice to go out of town, swim in the pool, and sleep in a hotel where the aircon is very strong.
But, what if you do not have the time and big budget for a fancy vacation? Here are some ways to have a good staycation.
Find a place just near you.
You can save a lot if you take a vacation at a nearby hotel or resort. Aside from the cheaper fare, you will not have much hassle on the trip. If you live in central Metro Manila, there are many beautiful vacations in Makati and Paranaque area. If you are close to QC, there are many resorts nearby in Bulacan. If you are from the South, it is very easy to retreat to Cavite and Laguna.
But if the commute is still too busy for you, there are many condominiums you can go to such as Azure Urban Residences. With the beautiful pool area and the man-made beach here, it looks like you have a resort and a hotel!
Find discounts before booking.
If you already know which area you want, look for discounts on the internet before you book. Many websites like Metro Deal (metrodeals.com) where many staycation offers are on sale 50% to 70% off! Hotels typically cost P7,000 for only P2,000! There are also booking websites such as Zen Rooms (zenrooms.com) where you can find units inexpensive residential condos at a budget price (P1,000-3,000!).
Use affiliate codes.
Many YouTubers and Vloggers have affiliate codes for hotels and resorts. Most affiliate codes hit 10% -20%, which is a big reduction especially if the staycation room you have chosen is in high esteem. You can search on Google or Youtube for affiliate codes and you will definitely find something right away.
Include the maximum number of persons.
If you have already booked a room for your staycation, make it worthwhile to include the maximum number of persons allowed. If you can accommodate four people in one room, arrange for three more people so you can share the cost. Aside from the fact that you already have quality time, you also save!
Bring your own food.
Most staycation rooms allow cooking within the unit, especially if you choose to go to a residential condo. If so, bring your own food or go to the grocery store before going to the unit. It will be even more economical if you just cook instead of buying outside. Plus, avoid the temptation to spend time out of time. Just make sure to ask the unit first if they have cooking appliances and you can cook there to avoid additional charges such as cleaning fee and corkage fee.
It is very important to rest and relax from time to time especially if you are drowning at work. Vacationing, though less pompous, is one of the ways to relieve stress and prevent burnout. Hope those tips helped you book your staycation!
BUT!
Make sure to be safe while being in your staycation, because we still encountering corona virus-infected persons every day, make sure to use the healthcare advice and be advice of social distancing, the best way to make your staycation to be completely successful is to have a secure and healthy trip along the way, this year is not the best yet you can always adjust your staycation!.
