Bananas are available all year around, and can be found everywhere here in the Philippines. As we eat bananas,we usually threw and ,put the banana peels in the trash. But we all dont know that banana peels are edible. As a matter of fact,it contains vitamin C, vitamin b-6,potassium, magnessium and more soluble and insoluble fiber compare to banana fruit flesh. Its fiber enhances better digestion, proper bowel movements and can even reduce the level of blood cholesterol. It is also rich in antioxidants called Lutein that can protect and enhance our eye health. Banana peels contains a mood enhancing substance called Trytophan that act much like the drug Prozac. Banana peels aren't rich in cholesterol that makes it healthier. It also protects our RBC's (Red Blood Cells) from breaking down. Banana peels are fibrous and thicker when unripe, but become thinner and sweeter as they ripen. Sugar content is it's highest when banana peel turns black.

Sugar is a sweet substance usually in the form of white and brown crystals or white powder that comes from plants. It is used as preservative for other foods and is used to make foods sweeter. It is also a source of dietary carbohydrate. Sugar usually came from sugar cane, processed, and sell to different places, nationwide and even worldwide.

Sugar has been part of every family here in the Philippines. We add sugar in every food or even drinks we take in.

Ps. I would like to thank my sister for letting me know this and I come up new Idea what articles I can post today and the next following days. Thanks sissy.
