DON'T BE SELECTIVE WITH RESPECT, EVERYONE DESERVES A LITTLE OF IT

That day would have marked the beginning of his frustration in school. He came back to the room and quietly went to bed without speaking to anyone. I was seriously disturbed because that was unusual for him. Even when I pleaded with him to tell me what happened in school, he didn't say a word. He behaved as though he got bad news from home about the death of a loved one.

Before going to class, he complained of hunger. I spent my time preparing food for us. I was expecting him to come back and ravenously eat his portion of the meal. But no, that singular experience replaced his hunger with worries. What would I do? Nothing! I decided to keep calm for him to rest for a while and ponder over whatsoever that must have affected him that bad. Amidst worries, we all slept off and found ourselves waking up same time 6 am. Now he must have been a little relieved of his ugly feelings. It was time to ask again, Guy what happened yesterday? No stress, straight to the point, he opened up.

Emmy ran into a man whom he barely knew was a Lecturer in his department. Being a very young man, he considered him to be a student, perhaps his coursemate. I believe you are familiar with the slang students usually use. When he made several attempts to engage this man, he didn't show at all. Out of annoyance and feeling of being snubbed, Emmy took it personally.

The Lecturer didn't do anything. He simply took note of his face and went his way. To my very own friend, he thought that was the end of the drama, but no, the real deal started the next day.

It was time for Emmy to go register for his courses. The time was fast running up and he needed to act fast. He made his way to the course registration officer's office. Stepping right inside the office, his mood changed. Behold, that young man he almost fought with was not just a Lecturer, but also the Course Registration Officer. It was indeed a bad market for him. There was deep silence between the two of them with Emmy having no fixed direction to put his face. I'm in for it;ย  He muttered to himself. It was a really big puzzle for him.

What do you want? He asked Emmy. Emmy answered with a shaky voice, "I am here for course registration". There was a lot of drama o. It took him one good week to come through the registration. The very day he registered was the day the school portal was closed.

That singular experience taught him a lesson he will never forget. It has come and gone, but the memories remain. From that day, Emmy vowed to behave himself. I always laugh at the memories.

๐Ÿ‘‰A friend of mine once told me; if you lack manners of approach, you lack everything it takes to be a good person.

๐Ÿ‘‰And I am saying to you, respect should not be based on status, give it to all. You must not know that person before you respect him. And always learn to respect the mood of people, everyone you see is fighting a hard battle within, be kind to all.

๐Ÿ‘‰Be careful, not everyone you see is what you think he is.

๐Ÿ‘‰One of the greatest things you can do to someone is to respect his feelings. No matter how stupid he might look, you must accord him some respect.

๐Ÿ‘‰But before you respect anybody, you must learn to respect yourself, without it, no one is nothing before you.

๐Ÿ‘‰They say respect is reciprocal.
