Vegetable Garden

Good afternoon. I was not able to greet everyone good morning because we we're too busy earlier watering the plants. We have a small vegetable garden in our backyard. Everyday me, my daughter and my husband are watering the veggies. We have eggplants, tomatoes, string beans and okras. We also have 2 pineapple plants.

My daughter loves this so much. You know why? Because aside from watering the plants, she is also playing with the water. I keep on telling her not to do that but she can't help it. So right after watering the plants we will go to the bathroom and give her a bath since she is already wet.

What I like doing this everyday is that at an early age my daughter already knows that it is important to plant and to take care of the plants.

She started to eat vegetables too. Before she doesn't want to eat it she only likes pork and chicken, and soup. But now she can eat tomatoes and okra and other vegetables. She keeps on asking "Mom, when can I see vegetables here?" I explained that we need to wait for a few weeks. Just keep on watering them so that they will grow faster and bear flowers.

During this pandemic, me and my husband lost our jobs. We need to think of something to help us survive and to keep going. Planting vegetable is one of our ideas. At least we don't need to buy veggies anymore. We have something to eat soon without spending. And this is something we can teach our child to do in the future.
