Are you familiar with this fruit? Have you taste it?  For those who doesn't know, it is a medium-sized tropical tree also refers to the edible fruit produced by this tree. The rambutan is native to Southeast Asia. It is also similar to other tropical fruits like longan, pulasan and lychee. The name "rambutan" is derived from the Malay word rambut meaning "hair" since it's outer covering looks like thick hairs. The fruits are green when not ripe and turns red soon as it ripens. We have this tree in our backyard and we are so excited to eat it's fruits since most of them are now ready to harvest.

Let me know what fruits do you have in your backyard by adding comments below. don't forget to like my post and subscribe. Thank you.
