We all know that plastic is a material that cannot be decomposed naturally by our earth. The real proof is that we often find plastic when we dig into the soil in our yard. Then, what if these plastics are in the ocean?

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is the answer. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is a collection of plastic waste in the Pacific Ocean. This garbage collects and grows along with the rotation of ocean currents in the Pacific Ocean.

The amount of garbage collected between Japan and California is estimated at 15 million square kilometers.

What we need to pay attention to is that the amount of this waste does not decrease, it continues to increase because of the large number of people who throw garbage in the sea and also the influence of ocean currents in the Pacific Ocean which continues to hold it.

Not only can form islands, this garbage is also dangerous for marine life. Many sea turtles eat this plastic waste because they think this garbage is jellyfish which is their favorite food. It is even more dangerous if we find there are marine mammals entangled in plastic ropes. Events like this are certainly dangerous for the life of flora and fauna in the ocean.

So let's start throwing trash in its place! Remember, big things start small, start with us, and start now!
