Efficacy of coarse salt other than to exorcise ghosts
Cast out ghosts? Anyone still remember or know the film series entitled "Supernatural"? The story of two brothers, Dean and Sam Winchester, who work as hunters. Hunter in this case is not an animal hunter, but a hunter of spirits.
In addition to spirits, the Winchester Brothers are also busy looking for things that are always considered a myth, such as werewolves, vampires, wendigos. In their world, all of them were real beings, who deserved to be exterminated.
In the 15-season or 15-year-long series, played from 2005 to 2020, Dean and Sam have many weapons to fight against demons, jinn, other spirits, in addition to a series of Latin spells.
Their most powerful weapon, actually there is only one and usually carried by Dean, is the Colt M1911A1 pistol. The bullets are special bullets that can kill anything, including the fiercest and most powerful demons. Anyway, the everyday weapon was a shotgun with bullets filled with coarse salt. Dean would call it rock salt.
Coarse salt won't "kill" demons or ghosts or anything else, but it will hurt and cause their "body" to fall apart. It took a while for them to be able to photograph their "body" again. That's according to Dean Winchester again.
Well, I will tell you about coarse salt, certainly not to exorcise demons. I don't have a shotgun and the bullet contains coarse salt. I also don't know if coarse salt really can make demons run away.
My version of the use of coarse salt is to soak laundry in the form of cloth, not clothes with thin fabrics, but thick fabrics, such as towels and blankets.
Before washing the towels in the washing machine, I would first soak them in water and coarse salt. Coarse salt whose crystals are white and large in size. If you soak a towel with fine salt, it won't stick. The result is thin, has no effect.
If soaked for 30 minutes to 1 hour with roughly three tablespoons of coarse salt, I will just pour it out of the container, the results will be very visible. Just look at the soaking water. It will be very brown. Apparently, coarse salt is very effective at removing all kinds of grease and dirt stuck to the towels.
After that, the washing machine's job will be much easier when washing towels that have been soaked in coarse salt. Of course, the washing water will still be cloudy, but it won't be as cloudy if it's not soaked in coarse salt.
But, I don't recommend soaking clothes. This is because the fabric for clothing tends to be thinner than towels. It might even crumble if soaked with coarse salt.
Coarse salt is also known as coarse salt. Coarse means rough, from the texture. The difference with table salt, in addition to texture, is that coarse salt does not contain iodine.
Another use of coarse salt is to add to bath water. Warm water for bathing if added with coarse salt will make tired muscles relax. I have felt the benefits of coarse salt dissolved in warm bath water. Very suitable for relieving fatigue.
Coarse salt contains magnesium and other water-soluble elements, apart from of course sodium chloride, the main ingredient of salt. With all of these elements in mind, it is recommended to take a warm bath mixed with coarse salt for 15 minutes at least three times a week.
If coarse salt is mixed with olive oil, it can be used to get rid of blackened skin on the elbows or other sensitive areas that get black easily. Supposedly, the results are not obtained in an instant, but with regular use.
Another advantage of coarse salt is that it is relatively cheaper than table salt which contains iodine. So, if you want to store a lot of coarse salt in the storage cupboard, the taste will not make you bankrupt.
