Being a fisherman must have big guts
I am a fisherman who still lives in a village far from the city, even if I want to sell my catch to the market, I have to take approximately one hour.
I did all that sincerely to support my family, I never felt the slightest bit of complaining and even gave up.
Being a fisherman must have big guts and also a good physique, it doesn't mean you have to have a big body, but big guts.
why is that, because the conditions in the middle of the sea are sometimes very difficult to predict, it often happens that the weather changes so quickly, what was previously light immediately turns dark, it takes great courage so that conditions can remain calm and solve problems not in a state of panic.
Especially fishermen in my area, there are several techniques to catch fish.
fishing
catching fish with traditional tools
fish shooting
catch fish manually by diving
Fishing
Fishing activities are indeed the most liked by many people, including me. It's really fun, but on the other hand, if you are a fisherman, you have to chase time and you have to get as many fish as possible in a not too long time, because using a fishing rod does take quite a long time.
catching fish with traditional tools
I usually catch fish with nets in the morning on the beach, and if in the afternoon it is done in the middle of the sea, I happen to catch fish with traditional traps that I made myself, some use fishing line that is arranged in such a way, and some use bamboo strung together.
fish shooting
I usually catch fish by shooting when the sea water is low and clear, here I also use traditional equipment made of bicycle spokes and the springs use large rubber, this must be very careful because the view cannot be far and must shoot right on target.
catch fish manually by diving
Meanwhile, to catch fish by diving I usually do when there are many schools of fish trapped in the ocean that is not so deep, this makes it easier to catch manually, and if the fish are rather large I usually use a spear.
The struggle to be a fisherman is indeed very hard, you have to race against time and you have to be careful with natural conditions, you need quite a lot of guts.
And my message is, don't try to destroy the underwater world just for your own sake, protect it and preserve it, that is my guideline that was passed on by my ancestors.
No matter how heavy the work, if we live it sincerely, it will feel like we are pursuing a hobby.
