Mr Yong is a Successful Business man and maxwell is an immigrant seeking for Greener pastures in a far away land.
On a fateful Monday morning maxwell got out of bed as usual, said his morning prayers took his bath, dusted the only 2 piece suit he has, cleaned his oxford brogues with so much joy and enthusiasm he left home for he had an Interview the first one in months of applying for jobs, he was anxious and worried but he never show it, he was an happy soul. He just went about his day as every other day never knew what awaits him.
On his way to his interview something happened that shaped the course of his day and his life forever. This interview is 10am he said he had a little time to grab a bite before heading in for to interview for a job he has prayed and fasted about.
He was done eating and it was time to pay and there was a middle ged well dressed asian man in front of the Queue trying to pay but his card kept declining, the waiter out of anger started shouting embarrassing the man then Maxwell cut in shuning the waiter from addressing his clients in such rude manner and offered to pay for the meal and his. The man thanked him asked his name and he told him also asked for that of the man and he said his name was Joseph wong and he was late for a work appointment and Maxwell told him he had an interview in about 40 minutes they exchanged pleasantries afterwards and they went their separate way.
It is 10am time for his interview he felt this numbness due to anxiety he was so anxious everyone around could hear his heart beating loudly. He stepped into the office and sitted in front of a partner ready to answer any question they might ask, but one sit was empty and they had to wait on the arrival of whosoever the seat was meant for. Suddenly the door opened and it was Mr Yong, he was the Chairman and CEO of the company on seeing Maxwell his face lit up he sat down and explain everything that happened to them. They offered Maxwell the job on the spot which he accepted of course. On his way home he kept thinking want good fortune he had stepping in to save Mr Yong from the embarrassment. It is really Good to be Good he said.
