Iris in my garden... Purple... Because... 💜💜💜 This was an amazing day My backs are complaining, I think even my kids are tired, but we did a lot more than I expected I Love working My late uncle used to call me Pikachu because I'm a electric rat 🤣🤣 And my late aunt was always saying: but you never stop???!!! I Love the feeling that I'm reaching my goal #MyGarden #PurpleSaturday #RainbowColorsChallenge

I used to grow bearded irises. The trick was keeping the rhizome from getting rot, at least in the relatively moist climates I lived in. When dividing them, or cutting out a rotten part, dusting the rhizomes with sulfur (sulphur, if you use the Queen's English) seemed to do the trick.
