This COVID-19 Pandemic has had a significant economic effect in various parts of the world, and it has also taken many lives. As a result, many countries are attempting to develop a vaccine to cure this infection, and as they have developed the vaccine, they are beginning to test it and have revealed to the public that there are vaccines that will protect us from this virus. All government face hard choices about how to manage the virus but Local Government should implement some action and strategies to reduce and prevent this virus. Like the following: Local governments must also learn to make the grievances of their constituents to prevent conflict or quarrel because when people feel that their leader is listening to them, they also learn to listen in their leader. A good leader is also a good listener. There should also be regular monitoring in each home so that everyone's information is more easily available. Act pass do not do it tomorrow what can be done today, not just words, it must also be proven to people. They should also make a constant reminder where people will know what to do and what not to do. About the economy and health, the government will make or respond to it for its constituents like relief goods that can be distributed to the citizens and to help everyone in this time of pandemic. Just like the ongoing community pantries per barangay that can really help in every citizen. As we have been advised of our resource’s person that we eventually follow Covid-19 “new normal” protocols that we should always wear a facemask/face shield, follow the social distancing and we should always sanitize to reduce the transmission of the virus. Also, the facilities of the quarantine areas must innovate so that we can better ensure the safety of everyone and we must have our own health center in each barangay so that it is easier to deal with the spreading virus. Also, we do not know when and until where it will end, from that we should still just follow such rules so that our government will not bother us anymore and so that even with this method of following them we can help. We know that those are simple things to do but if all of us will follow, we can stop the corona virus.
Lessons
We all know how hard this pandemic affects us. This pandemic has affected thousands and millions of people due to the spread of this coronavirus. Up to this day we are still battling with this virus. This webinar Rising to the Challenge of the Pandemic: LGU Best practices in COVID-19 Crisis Management aims to deliver a useful lesson during this hard time. Local Government Units take an action to control the spread of virus by setting up plans and protocols that they can provide to each and every municipality. Despite this unexpected problem we are facing now a harsh reality we need to accept everyday the local government did not fail us. COVID-19 came to us we are all unprepared to take the heightened responsibilities but with the help of many local government units they give us a possible solution with the daunting task of addressing the impact of pandemic since they take the lead with our fight with COVID-19 that exceed the expectations of many. In my opinion the affects of this pandemic to us would have been more worst if the health system continue to not stood resilient. After a year we are still fighting with this pandemic a lot has changed and it likely wont be going back to being a normal life we used to lived before all this happened. This pandelic taught us a lot of lesson, we are learning a life lessons and resetting our priorities. But the most important lesson it taught us is the importance of health and wellness. Before we used to take advantage of our strength and health but now we realized how important it is to take care of ourself and time to make health a priority. Taking care of ourself will not only able us to fight the COVID-19 virus but any other illness.
