Autism is a complex lifelong developmental disability and has an impact on communication and self-regulation. It is a complex brain disorder that affects a child's ability to communicate, respond to surroundings, or form relationships with others.
It is caused by many factors like environmental factors, viral infection, and medication or air pollutants these factors trigger autism spectrum disorder. Autism is a disorder in the structure of the brain. Brain scans show differences in the shape and structure of the brain in children with autism compared to normal children. The common symptoms of autism are:
· The abnormal tone of voice.
· Inappropriate social interaction.
· Avoidance of eye contact or poor eye contact.
There are three types of autism
· Autistic Disorder.
· Asperger Syndrome
Pervasive Developmental Disorder
It is estimated that worldwide one in 160 children has an ASD. But in our country Pakistan this disease is not yet recognized in anyone. It is estimated that Boys are four times more likely to be diagnosed with autism than girls.
Autism affects the personality of the child and his behavior as children having this disease need social isolation, Abnormal Body Posturing or Facial Expressions, Abnormal Tone of Voice, Avoidance of Eye Contact, or Poor Eye Contact.
There are no cures or prevention for autism, but therapies and other treatment considerations can help people feel better or alleviate their symptoms. Early diagnosis and intervention is most helpful and can improve behavior, skills, and language development.
Autism diagnosis is difficult as there is no medical test. Doctors look at the child’s behavior and development to make a diagnosis.
It is occurred in childhood and affects their behavior, way of speaking, speech, etc. This disorder has no cures and preventions. If anyone is suffering from this disorder they must have therapy or treatment consideration which would help them feel better.
