Do you believe in Miracle? For me, YES!
My sister, Ate Ritchel and her husband, Kuya Richard were married 15 years ago. They had a simple civil wedding. They had a small sari-sari store in which it serves as their primary income.
Their marriage is the same as others, imperfect. Kuya Richard was used to a severe alcoholic beverage drinker and a cigarette smoker while Ate Ritchel is impatient enough to have a baby because it was too long since their marriage.
It came to the point that they are hopeless to have a baby.
Kuya Richard had an accident 3 years ago. We thought that he will not regain his old self because of the impact he sustained. They always fought to the point that he will hit my sister. We wanted to have an annulment but my sister refused. She remembers ‘for sickness and in health, ‘til death do us part’ line. It stuck in her mind and heart. We can’t blame her. That’s her principle in marriage. We respected her decision.
My sister is very brave throughout the years that they are together.
2 years ago, my sister was hospitalized due to Sepsis secondary to Diabetic foot. She was confined for almost 2 weeks. I took care of my sister in the hospital. I can see the struggles she went through.
It was last year, start of pandemic, that my sister told me that she took pregnancy test and it was positive. At first I was hesitant to believe her. She let me see the pictures of the pregnancy test and the results, yes results, it was 3 pregnancy test kits, all positive. (PS: my sister had irregular menstruation for years).
When she told her husband about the pregnancy test, he didn’t believe it until it was proven with ultrasound results.
Last October 2, 2020, my sister delivered her healthy baby boy via normal spontaneous vaginal delivery. We named him Rich Ethan. I can the joyfulness by his parents at the time he was born.
PRESENT:
My nephew is now 7 months old. My brother-in-law changed a lot. Before he is a severe alcoholic beverage drinker and a smoker, but now since my nephew was born, neither he occasional drinks nor smoke.
Rich Ethan is a blessings in disguise to the family.
If you’re married and want to have a baby, don’t lose hope. Always remember PRAYER IS ALWAYS THE BEST WEAPON. Miracles happen when you believe. ♥
