A Stitch in time saves nine

once,a king asked his messenger to take an important message to the commander of his army. At the time of leaving, the messenger saw the a nail from one of the shoes of his horse was missing. In his hurry he ignored it and started his journey. On the way he felt that the horse had begun to limp. He found that one of the shoes of the horse had gone off. He could do nothing then. He made his horse run even faster. After some time the horse fell down and died. The messenger ran out foot and reached the battlefield. But he was too late. The army had been defeated because of his late arrival. He cursed himself for not being careful about the nail.
