Massive Drop in Read.cash Fund
My attention just went to the top of the read.cash page and to my surprise I noticed a massive reduction in the fund. What!! The last time I noticed it was more than $100,000 but now its just a little over $3500. More than 70% reduction, what happened? I had to check the stat area and noticed that our top donor @MarcDeMesel has taken out a big chunk of his pledge. Can he do that? Yes he can. He has control of his pledge. The fund exists only in the browsers of donors (we are not holding donors money, their browsers do). Since they always control their money, they can cancel their pledge at any time. What could have led to that? Whatever the reason be, I believe its a genuine one. I might be new here, but it goes unnoticed that @MarcDeMesel has been helpful to the growth of this platform. He upvoted a user's article with about $100 yesterday. Though I am not the one, I was just happy for the user. I really appreciated his philanthropic gesture. Though he still has pledge, its nothing compared to then. What does that mean for us? Will it affect our earning? Only time will tell.
