Lyon advance to the Champions League semifinal after stunning Manchester City with a 3-1 victory in Lisbon on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola's City came into the match as favourites but Lyon prevailed, against the odds, to set up a dream tie with Bayern Munich in the last four after two late goals from super-sub Moussa Dembele saw them cancel out Kevin De Bruyne's equalizer, breaking the hearts of Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola has never taken Manchester City past the quarter-finals of the Champions League
Lyon took the lead in the 24th minute with Maxwel Cornet's inventive finish from just outside the box.
In the second half, the English side drew level through a Kevin De Bruyne side-foot finish in the 69th minute and pushed forward in search of a winner but former Celtic player, Moussa Dembélé, on as a substitute, scored two goals to see the French side through.
Lyon will play Bayern Munich in the second clash of the semifinal on Wednesday evening.
