Make some noise for Bitcoin Cash

I remember my Primary and Secondary school days when during some free periods the class will be so the noise that a teacher will be forced to enter the class. After asking the class to keep quiet, he or she would instruct the class captain or rep to write the names of noisemakers. The list will be presented to the teacher later, and those on the list will either be flogged or punished depending on the teacher and his or her mood for the day.

But today, while I logged on to spend some time on this platform, I noticed a notification at the top of the screen

"...Make some noise at noise.cash, get some Bitcoin Cash!"

Earn some Bitcoin cash to make the noise I have been flogged and punished for? Of course, why not.

I visited the site and it took me just a few seconds to register. The simplicity made it so easy to get started and I have already sent more than 10 "Noise", earned some BCH, given out free tips to other users and subscribed first to the noise.cash account for updates and then to a few other users. I was really hooked to the site at first, making noise, tipping and commenting on the noise made by other users. It was fun, and many users here have already joined in the fun.

If you haven't joined, What are you waiting for?

About noise.cash

The noise.cash is the newest project from the same team behind read.cash. It is a platform where you can share your thoughts and get some Bitcoin Cash as tips. The site is still very young and in the developmental stage. A lot of things won't work right now in this alpha version of the site, hopefully, more features will be added soon. But we can still have fun while we wait.

Getting Started

To get started, log on to noise.cash, and click on " Get started"

You will be taken to the registration form page and all you are required to fill in your name (username), email address and password, and you are good to go.

Homepage

The noise.cash homepage is very simple and has few features like the noise.cash alpha logo, "subscriptions" and "Explore" tabs, the drop-down menu, the text box for sharing your thoughts and then posts from users.

Fund

It is worth noting that 100% of the tips earned on noise.cash is funded by none the other but our own Marc de Mesel! Kudos to Marc!

Tips and Wallet

The site is still very new and unlike read.cash there are no integrated wallets yet, so the only way to tip people is with "FreeTips" that might occasionally land into your account. You can tip a fellow user by clicking on the amount (e.g. $0.00) just below the post content and selecting the tip amount. The interesting part is that for every tip, you also get to earn up to 80% of the amount.

Notice about freeTips:

FreeTips are occasionally given by us to some random nice users. You can not withdraw them directly, but you can give them to other users and take a percentage yourself. Give it to great interesting users and we might give you FreeTips more often. If you give it to spammers, to your own accounts or take too much yourself, we might never give it to you again. Have fun!

And about the percentage you keep to yourself, I recommend you be generous and give more percent to the user you are tipping and take not more than 50%.

Adding your Bitcoin Cash wallet address

To receive BCH when you are tipped by other users, you need to add an external Bitcoin wallet address to the site.

To do this:

  • Click the drop-down menu at the top right corner next to your username.

  • Select wallet

  • Copy and paste your BCH wallet address in the space provided

  • Click on save

Once complete every earn via tips from other users will be sent directly to the wallet you added.

Other Things to Know about noise.cash alpha version

A few things that you probably should know:

  1. Bitcoin cash wallet has not been integrated, but that doesn't mean you can't tip! Few minutes after you have registered, you might notice that you have a FreeTip to give! With this, you can tip someone and also get a percentage of the tipped amount.

  2. You can subscribe to other users by clicking on their username and then clicking on subscribe.

  3. There is no limitation on message length.

  4. There are no notifications, for now, so following discussions might be a little hard. The developers promise to fix this soon.

  5. @mentions don't work and URLs aren't linked yet (again, will come soon)

  6. private messages will come too, but not yet

  7. Free tips are a bit buggy now, so some users get them, some don't, we hope to fix it in a few days

  8. Images, change of avatar, profiles are missing too.

So many features are missing and there are plans to implement them gradually with time.
