They also contain oxalic acid; therefore people who are prone to urinary or kidney stones should avoid them.
Strawberries should be washed well, as they retain pesticide residues. But we will do it at the last moment, without removing the peduncle, so that they do not soak up water. It is therefore preferable to taste them at room temperature to enjoy all their flavor.
