The ICC honored Gayle

Monday was the 42nd birthday of West Indies star cricketer Chris Gayle. The International Cricket Council (ICC) tweeted in honor of the 42-year-old Caribbean star.

Gayle was born on September 21, 1989, in Kingston, Jamaica. He made his international debut on 11 September 1999 in ODI cricket against India in Toronto.

Not only that, Gayle set the record for the first double century in the ODI World Cup. The devastating batsman became the first batsman to score a century in the International Twenty20. He has a triple century (333) in Tests.

Chris Gayle is more popular in T20 tournaments in different countries than the national team. Gayle, known as the peddler of cricket entertainment, has played in 404 matches in the franchise and has scored a maximum of 13,298 runs with a record 22 centuries.
