"Factors of being a young mom" [sample research]

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know what young mothers are going through in six aspects: emotional, spiritual, mental, financial, relational, and social. The said research is based on quantitative method and is used by nonrandom convenient sampling, in which respondents are selected by researchers based on “convenience”.

The number of respondents was five (35) young mothers aged twelve to eighteen living in Sta. Rosa Alaminos, Laguna. The resulting result is no difference in the mean score of six factors when it comes to the level of final entry, age of first childbirth and when touched upon identity; whether it has stopped or continued their study and there is a difference in the mean score on emotional and social factors when it is touched on the marital state.

Introduction

"Youth is the hope of our people", according to Dr. Jose Rizal, our national hero. They will serve as future leaders and will develop our country. In their cheap minds, a good idea and a great deal of thought can be contributed to our country. The shaping of a child's personality depends on the hand of the mother-in-law. It is the parents' responsibility for how they can properly raise and fear God for their child.

A young mother is a young person who is early in the heavy responsibility of being a parent they are twelve to eighteen years old. Increasing numbers of young people who are pregnant or early married are becoming an issue in the Philippines. Because being a parent at a young age is not right and there are many side effects. Researchers gather information by raving to get their identity and to get specific information about what they are going through as young mothers. Researchers will discuss the pathways of young mothers, through the following factors: emotional, spiritual, mental, financial, relational, and social; and find out if they are positive or negative.

Methodology

This study focused on the experiences of young mothers in six factors; emotional, spiritual, mental, financial, relational, and social. This will take into account the Quantitative method by which to use a methodological sample that is exposed if they can answer all questions in the survey questionnaire.

This research was conducted in Brgy. Sta. Rosa, Alaminos, Laguna. This is the given area of the municipality of Alaminos, Laguna where there is a large number of girls pregnant early. This research was used by non-random convenient sampling, in which respondents were selected by researchers based on the given municipal record of Alaminos, Laguna.

Respondents were select young mothers aged twelve to eighteen. They were our chosen respondents because they were the ones who fit our study, they are the ones who know what young mothers are experiencing, and so we can find out what they went through in life with a child at a young age, They are individuals on the adolescence stage where they should still be entertained as children.

What the researchers used was the instrument of the survey. This is a constricted test instrument that is provided in the analysis by validating experts, piloting testing, and capturing the reliability score. This questionnaire survey was prepared by researchers to gather data to find out what young mothers are going through in six factors; emotional, spiritual, mental, financial, relational, and social, and to find out if they are actually raising written or negative statements. It is divided into two parts. The first part of our questionnaire was that respondents identified their level of education, age of first birth, marital state, stopped or continued education. The second part is used by the 4 points Likert scale it is those who strongly disagree, disagree, agree, and totally agree.

To obtain the level of what they have experienced in life through six factors; emotional, spiritual, mental, financial, relational, and social. Data Recruitment Process For approval, researchers submitted the title, after the title was approved, researchers searched for relevant literature. Researchers created a question and consulted their professor. Researchers asked statisticians to find out what to use test instrument. Researchers have evaluated their questions with experts and statisticians.

Delivered to Pilot Testing and took the reliability score. Researchers have submitted a Communication Letter to the municipality of Alaminos, Laguna to find a record of young mothers. Researchers gathered the data through a questionnaire survey of 35 respondents and the data gathered were well analyzed and the result was presented in the discussion, conclusion, and recommendation.

Recommendation

1. To parents, need to be broad-minded and know what young mothers can be. This will help them educate and guide their children to avoid becoming a young mother.

2. To young people, Learning and knowing the potential of a young mother can help them to avoid entering this difficult situation, even when their parents and their families are there to help them they must keep in mind that not for life they have to rely on the help of others.

3. To Young Mothers, preparing themselves and knowing what they can still experience can greatly help them. It's good to hear their parents' advice.

4. To future researchers, This can be a guide for future researchers, expanding this study is a bit of good advice. Discovering more important data or information can help to further the knowledge of young mothers.

The next researchers will also emphasize the culture, specifically the skill and beliefs of the selected respondents based on the location of the study, it helps to better understand the factors that affect the mentality of young mothers who have led them to take responsibility as parents.
