Why is every human personality different? Is it due to heredity from different fathers and mothers? Or, it is caused by environmental factors where a person lives? For example, people who live in rural areas tend to have better personalities than people who live in cities. Is it like that? Or is the personality of the village people more humble, while the people who live in urban areas have an independent personality and tend to be indifferent to the surrounding environment?

Actually, this has been researched and discussed for a long time about this personality. Even since 400 years BC ago, a physician who was good at philosophy from Greece, Hippocrates put forward a theory of personality. It summarizes a lot of tendencies of the personality of a human being. Hippocrates also realized that the theory that discusses personality will continue to grow and there will also be many kinds. Of all the types of personality theory, the most popular and developed is the theory of Hippocrates Galenus. This theory is an extension of the previous theory, namely Empedocretus.

What kind? Is this theory compatible with the Human personality type?

  1. The Perfect (Melancholy)

People with melancholic personality types are very perfect figures. Even so, melancholy is people who tend to have little fighting power, so it is easy to be disappointed. The expression on his face that almost always looks gloomy, makes melancholy a person who is quite timid and very rigid with rules. In addition, people who have this personality type tend to be very easy to worry about. Every problem that exists is always made important and seems big. Some of the other traits that really stand out are that this person is very hard-thinking and very sensitive. They are emotional people and want to express their feelings. They are very caring people. Even so in terms of thoroughness, the melancholic person is the one. They will have an advantage that is rarely owned by others, namely being observant in doing something.

  2. The Peacemaker (Phlegmatic)

They are easygoing personality types and don't like to be rushed. In addition, phlegmatics are people who bring peace everywhere. They are calm, unaffected, and cold. They like to do things out of belief in themselves, not wisdom or instinct. In addition, phlegmatics are people who dare to go forward and take risks because of their unyielding spirit. Even so, they still want to give in to avoid conflict. People with this type of phlegmatic, tend to be diplomatic and also good listeners. Simple but often delays decisions and work. Maybe it's because he's too laid back.

  3. The Superstar (Sanguinis)

They are people who like to talk because they are friendly, sociable, full of smiles, and cheerful. The ability to communicate and build relationships with sanguine people is the best among others. Good at mastering the conversation, because sanguine people are people who like to be noticed. No wonder, if people like this become famous and popular. Sanguines are very optimistic people. It is not surprising that they will keep trying when a failure comes their way. This person also tends to be humorous, easy to get along with, but his emotions also tend to change frequently. People like this are usually easily carried away by emotions, such as being easy to cry and happy. Unfortunately, the type of sanguine person is a person who tends to be short-minded and difficult to concentrate.

  4. The Strong (Choleric)

They are passionate people. They are people with high fighting spirit, full of optimism, but their hearts are also easily burned with anger. A choleric is a leader, because of his controlling and controlling character. Unfortunately, their vengeful and retaliatory bad character is even crueler. Choleric is a person who is easily angered and aroused, but also easily calms down when the opponent has given up defeat. The type of person who likes to be busy. Likes to rule and manage others. This trait makes them love themselves too much. When someone hurts him, the choleric will be very hurt.

These four temperaments are also widely interpreted as the four human personalities, which shape a person's behavior and attitudes in dealing with certain situations or problems. It can be said, the theory of the four personalities is one of the most ancient personality theories and has existed since the time of Greece, where one physicist from Greece named Hippocrates developed this theory for medical purposes.

Along with the development and also the passage of time, this medical theory developed into forms of personality and has been widely developed or used, even before the science of psychology and theories about personality were developed. In some literacy, there are differences in the discussion

The following are 4 types of personality in humans that often appear:

The first personality is the sanguine personality. This personality, in its development, is associated with the element of air, where those who have this type of personality or sanguine temperament tend to be more flexible, like the term "gone with the wind".

Those who have this personality tend to be irritable, impulsive, and also tend to be emotional. They do a lot of acts of aggression and have fairly strong body energy.
