When you start mining the CHIA cryptocurrency, you should know that you can use a PC or two, either a laptop and a PC. When you use a PC, it will do two things, the first is the creation of the plot that will later be sent to the HDDs so that they start mining. When you use a laptop and a PC, you can divide the work between the two. The laptop can used for plot creation, while the PC with the HDDs can use all the resources for CHIA mining.
You must know how much capital you are going to allocate for the purchase of hardware, in which parts you should invest more and in which not so much.

A CASE that has enough space in case you want to add more HDDs in the future.
A motherboard that has many SATA ports to connect the HDDs.
A RAM of 8 or 16GB DDR3 or DDR4.
A processor that has four cores or more, better if it has integrated graphics.
A 450w power supply in case you are going to put a video card.
HDD Red or Black 1, 2, 4 or 6TB disk, they are the most recommended for mining work, here you store the plots.

With the plot already created, you must send it to the PC where you have the HDDs to store it. This process must repeated as many times as necessary according to the capacity of the disk.
My advice is better to wait for several mining pools to come out so that you get more profit in less time. Another thing to keep in mind is that you must invest in the future to be able to get more space on the network (more HDD) so that your profits do not decrease so much over time.
