Bitcoin, a way out of the economic crisis in Colombia?

Currently, the new government of Colombia plans to use the geographical characteristics of the department of La Guajira, to obtain Bitcoin through mining. La Guajira has the potential to produce energy in three different ways, which are:

• Wind energy production.

• Production of energy through hydroelectric plants.

• Solar energy production.

La Guajira has a geographical, cartographic and climate location that favors it to produce energy or obtain it in a clean and sustainable way. This would not only be a way for Colombia to obtain resources that it can use to alleviate its sorely affected economy; if not, it also allows the country to study in which other departments there are possibilities to implement Bitcoin mining, taking advantage of the geographical, cartographic and climatic characteristics for the production or obtaining of the energy necessary to do so.

In the near future, some private companies may also take the initiative to start mining Bitcoin in different parts of the world with energy that is produced in a clean and sustainable way.
