I keep seeing all these depressing posts about cheating partners and general assholery on this page, so I just wanted to shout out my best friend for being there with me through the thick and thin, and constantly helping each other grow and supporting each other's hopes and ambitions. Yes a relationship can be great, but having a good friend who you know has got your back no matter what is even better. Together we've learned that self love is the most important kind of love, and to not lower yourself for the people who aren't worth your time. To everyone out there feeling single this valentine's day, remember that there's more than one kind of love out there, and you don't need a SO to be loved by your family and friends :)

Friends are the family that we get to choose. Blessed are those who have a best friend for life. A best friend is nothing less than a precious gem. And I am lucky to have such a person in my life.
