How do I acquire positivity in a negative situation?

Even if it's wrong in some ways, thinking positively is always a good thing, right? A positive attitude and the ability to look for the silver lining in every cloud are essential to maintaining a positive outlook on life.

Isn't it a mistake to only focus on positive thinking and not on positive action? As a result of your positive thoughts and actions, you must engage with the world around you and interact positively and constructively with others on an ongoing basis, in a similarly positive and beneficial way, on frequent basis. Changing your state of mind, or how you see yourself and others, is an important initial step, but it should not be the only or even the most important one you take to alter your reality.

In some Eastern philosophies, there is an ancient yet fundamental principle known as "every positive action has a positive reaction, and every negative action has a negative reaction." As karma, reaping what you sow, or "falling short of the glory of God" in Western theological language, this idea is talked about in a lot of different places.

You're producing karma when you think negatively about someone else, whether it's a family member, a friend, or a stranger on the street. " Posting on any website, including Quora and social media, is equivalent to creating karma. Making karma, or more properly "negative" karma, is easy to make if you don't do anything that you should or should do to help people in particular situations. You are making karma when you don't do it.

Realize that this is not some sort of "punishment," but rather an impersonal and entirely natural principle, perhaps even comparable to things like the law of gravity for those who believe in the existence of higher principles at least, and meant to be a teaching tool as well as a balance mechanism, in life as well as death, to properly sustain the functions of existence and the universe as a whole. Even when you don't take any concrete action, the "good" karma you create is a result of your thoughts about other people, your online remarks, and even your decisions to assist others.

Sure, you should engage in positive thinking, but only as the first step toward taking action and expanding your focus beyond yourself to those you can and should be assisting on a daily basis. When you put yourself first and only care about your personal issues and woes, acting as though you've been wronged, you simply serve to slow down the progress of the world.

A positive ripple effect and a significant difference are made, even if not immediately apparent, when someone chooses to serve the greater good or help other people, and even entire communities, out of real selflessness and altruism as well as compassion. It is true that one person may make a huge difference.

According to psychology, "a person cannot feel depressed for more than 20 minutes. After that, it is over-thinking." This sentence works for me whenever I'm upset and have a lot on my mind. It helps to reinvigorate your senses.

A final word of advice: remember that "everything happens for a reason."

It's not uncommon for life to throw a wrench in your plans, weaken you, and cause depression. At such moments, it can be tough to have a positive outlook, but you should remind yourself, "This too shall pass."
