There's a popular misconception about introversion and extroversion, which s attribute shyness and being antisocial to introverts while extroverts being loud and outgoing.
Well if you're among the percentage of people who still define it this way, there's going to be a shift today!
Scientifically, the difference between an introvert and extrovert is in their response to dopamine. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter in the brain, it is released when you're expecting a reward or when you're anticipating pleasure.
In extroverts, there's a high threshold of dopamine while introverts, have a lower threshold of dopamine.
Psychologically, it is focused on their energies, what thrills individuals, What satisfies them e.t.c.
Suffice to say that, an introvert is someone who prefers his/her alone time and enjoy solitude. An extrovert prefers to be out with friends and gets energy from being around people.
This doesn't mean an introvert is antisocial. Introverts can go for parties and social gatherings, talk to people but when they get home, they need time alone to recharge.
Extroverts can be quiet too only they feel more alive when with people and most times, they are usually the life of the gathering.
However, sequel to my previous post, there are persons who are extroverted but they find it difficult to relate with other people, this shouldn't be confused with introversion or extroversion. Seek professional help so you can live fully.
Introverts can be entertainers and public speakers too, extroverts can also maintain solitude.
Introversion and extroversion is more than behavioural characteristics, it is a function of energy.
I hope this enligthens someone today😊

Actually introverts are antisocial. They do not like crowds, noisy people, they are fine being alone. Their energy are suck by extroverts and there's way more difference then just a lack of energy as you describe it. The brain of introverts work different but I already wrote about that longer ago. 💕
