Being alone and being lonely are different things, overtime isolation and solitude have been mistaken for the same things which is not correct. Isolation is a state of being lonely while solitude is a state of being alone, you may wonder where am going with this
Loneliness is a feeling of sadness when you don't have people around you, Alone is simply being without company. A person can be alone and happy, enjoying the company of his/herself
Isolation can also happen when a person has a contagious disease like the case of the Corona virus. In this case being isolated is for a good cause otherwise it isn't advisable.
Individuals who isolate themselves tend to have social anxiety or depression which is a harmful state to the human mind as it can lead to dysfunctionality or even suicide. Being around people isn't exactly a cure for loneliness because you can have people around and still feel isolated. Learning to appreciate yourself goes a long way in dealing with loneliness and all that it brings.
Solitude is filled with positive thoughts and may lead you to ecstacy; the monks practice this alot, they call it meditation.
Isolation is filled with negative thoughts of worry and sometimes self loathe which can lead to depression.
Choose your "alone", are you in solitude or isolation?
I hope you'd learn to appreciate yourself more and shun isolation.
I rather like the way you laid things out and how you differentiated them so well. I hope people will come to understand the difference because of this and stop overreacting
