It is said that we live to work. And we work to survive. Whether we belong to a group, to a community, or to a family.we all do something good for ourselves for the members of the group we belong.

Every day we go to work and do what we are told to. We may be asked to finish the task assigned to us accordingly. If we are working in an office, we may do routine jobs like typing, encoding, more paper works, filing, or even running errands. If we are working on a production site, we are required to finish certain amounts of completed artworks in bulk or in pieces. At the end of the day, we go home feeling tired, sometimes exhausted. But we do this for our family, and for ourselves of course.

However, we should not forget to take care of ourselves. Our family needs us, so we must always be good and healthy. Hence, a Self-Care Menu is needed for us. You may want to consider the menu below:

  • Take deep breaths ........................................5 minutes

  • Listen to your favorite song........................5 minutes

  • Mediate for some peace of mind...............10 minutes

  • Read a book.....................................................10 minutes

  • Journal out your thoughts............................15 minutes

  • Get some exercise..........................................30 minutes

  • Get crafty........................................................30 minutes

  • Cook a recipe....................................................1 hour

You may also include other things like saying affirmations aloud and writing down the things you are grateful for. You may follow those menus or you can make your own. As long as it results to a better YOU. Take Care!

I totally agree with you. Caring for yourself doesn't make you selfish but caring TOO much about yourself isn't only about self care but selfishness included. Nice article
