Good day guys, I hope you have a great day. As you already know Philippines is full of wonders and thats why I want to let you know more about the Philippines.

Most people in the Philippines, tourists and foreigners will be called as ma'am or sir no matter what their age is.

In this country you will notice that younger people refer to the women and men a little bit older as ate or kuya.

Sort of like older sister or brother, respectively.

Filipinos gives respect, and love their elders, and shows it in many ways in their daily life.

Adults or seniors are addressed as po or opo, with the younger person taking the elder’s hand and touching it to their forehead to display the act of respect, which is called “pagmamano.”

However, their politeness can go a little too far, as you will rarely hear a Filipino come out with a direct answer of rejection, if they can help you. They will surely help you, no matter who, and no matter where you came from.

Have you learn something?
