There are about one hundred seventy five languages spoken in the Philippines.

With one hundred seventy one of them considered “living,”

while some other tribal dialects have no known living speakers.

The country’s official languages are;

Filipino (based on Tagalog)

English

Cebuano

Ilocano

...

But when Filipinos interact with other foreigners, it’s easy for them to speak English.
