Second hand...

So i was a very brave young man a few weeks ago, i bought a second hand iphone 7 to use a cold wallet cause i had way too much bitcoin on my regular phone and was afraid of the sense if loss i would feel if indeed i got robbed or lost my phone.

So i bought a phone that says it needs an update to activate ( i know nothing of iphones at this point in time) so im thinking its a bargain for a phone that just needs to be updated. Got home and eagerly got me the latest itunes and loaded sufficient data and started updating. Once updated to version 13.6.1 it said the very same thing Phone needs to be updated to activate. Tried everything for the next week and theres nothing that could be done.

Got good news the end of that first week, iOS 14 will be released next week and waited patiently... iOS 14 was released Wednesday and i was probably one of the first to run the update ... once downloaded nothing happened. 4.6gigs and nothing.

Tried another way last night and again once the update was done im stuck on the phone needs an update to activate.

I have learnt 2 very valuabke lessons from all this ... 1) a second hand bargain is Never a bargain ( you would think i learnt this as a kid already) and 2) iPhones are the most horrible devices to own.

There is a third lesson... Apple support staff hardly provides any real support other than refering you back to frequently asked question section on their website.

NEVER BUY AN APPLE PRODUCT.
