The World Bank is giving a loan of Tk 9,000 crore to Bangladesh

The World Bank is giving a loan of 105 crore dollars or about 9 thousand crore taka to Bangladesh. The agency said the loan was approved for spending on three projects aimed at creating jobs, reviving the economy and building resilience to epidemics such as the novel coronavirus. The loan was approved by the World Bank's head office in Washington, DC, yesterday (Friday).

The world economy collapsed when the Corona epidemic. And Bangladesh is also suffering huge losses as a result. After a seven-day shutdown, limited economic activity resumed but did not gain momentum. Once again, trade and commerce are in turmoil.

So the government has already taken various initiatives to cut these losses. Even various organizations have come forward. In April, the World Bank approved a কোটি 100 million or Tk 650 crore loan for Bangladesh to buy health equipment. Two months later, the company again approved a 105 million loan.

The new loan will be used to attract investment. This will create 1 lakh employment opportunities. 1 lakh unemployed will also get various types of training. The second Bangabandhu Industrial City at Mirsarai in Chittagong will also be developed.

Besides, another project will create employment for 1 lakh women so that digital technology training will also be given to 1 lakh youth. The project will also help in digitizing small and medium enterprises and strategic industries. Therefore, the loan will help cope with the difficult times, said Planning Minister MA Mannan.

The loan will also provide 250 million in budget support.
