Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has termed the proposed budget as a budget to save people's lives. He also said that there will be no shortage of funds to spend for this.

He said this at a post-budget virtual press conference on Friday afternoon. At the same time, the revenue target was realistic, the minister said, adding that it was possible to achieve the target if full automation could be done.

He said the main obstacle to investment is high interest rates, but it has been brought under control. Besides, there is no liquidity crisis in the banking sector. Highlighting various measures to make the stock market strong and dynamic in the proposed budget, he said all kinds of assistance has been provided in this year's budget to encourage the local industry.
