Importers are in trouble because there are not enough buyers

Onion imports from India have also increased amid the Corona epidemic. However, the importers are in trouble as there are not enough buyers.

Red zone in different parts of the country due to corona virus and drizzle in the port area has caused a buyer crisis. Onion prices have come down due to increase in imports as compared to demand. Onions are being sold at 18 to 20 rupees per kg.

In the last 7 working days, about 5,900 metric tons of onions have been imported from India in 28 trucks through Healy land port.
