80% Small Business Entrepreneur Business Closed in Lockdown: Survey

A survey has revealed the financial loss of small women entrepreneurs in rural areas due to the impact of the coronavirus epidemic.

According to the survey conducted by two non-governmental organizations, 80 per cent of rural women entrepreneurs have been forced to close their businesses or enterprises since the general holiday or lockdown.

On the other hand, despite facing various crises, the remaining 20 percent women entrepreneurs are running their businesses but are not getting 'opportunity' to sell their products.

The survey was conducted by Steps Towards Development (STEPS) and Gender and Development or GAD Alliance on 400 small women entrepreneurs in 10 districts in the last 10 days of May.
