Inception is top notch entertainment. Great imagery, energy, mystery, excitement.
Chris Nolan is a modern master, in my opinion.

There is much to be observed and analyzed in this story: great opening, great inciting incident, great third act transition, but this week I was thinking about the midpoint.
It's great. We have two core things happening at the midpoint here. Firstly, we realize the mission at hand is harder than we thought, the obstacle is greater than realized, Fischer has been trained to have a dream state private army defending his mind, and even worse than that, his relationship with his father is much more broken than anticipated (moving the goalpost in a sense). Secondly, we realize the mission at hand is more dangerous than we thought, the stakes are higher, if we die in this dream we don't just wake up but instead fall into Limbo.
A great midpoint story move.
A great film all around.
Be well.
