The splendor of the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue
The Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue is one of the tallest statues in the world, this statue is located on the fowl hill of Jimbaran Bali. This statue is a statue of a very famous sculptor in Bali, namely I Nyoman Nuarta and this monument is also being developed as a cultural park and an icon of Bali and Indonesia tourism.
This statue has a philosophy that is Lord Vishnu as a guardian deity riding an eagle, no doubt this statue is very majestic and looks taller when viewed from a distance because it is located on a hill of fowl.
The name Garuda Wisnu Kencana comes from the name of the bird Garuda and Lord Vishnu, while Kencana means gold because the throne of the Garuda statue is covered in gold.
This statue was built for 28 years, because it requires a fairly complicated architectural process and the materials to make this statue are also very difficult to obtain and very expensive.
The raw material for making this statue is a mixture of copper and steel weighing 4000 tons, then the sides of the statue are also coated with brass.
If we go there we can also see some other places such as:
Vishnu Plaza: The location of the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue, the top of the Vishnu statue consists of a body and head with a height of up to 20 meters.
Garuda plaza: Potongan dari patung burung garuda bagian kepala, di depannya ada lotus pond dan plaza wisnu.

Amphitheatre: Is a place for acoustic performances.
Turtle plaza: Is a pond with a small fountain in the statue area.

In my opinion, this place is truly magnificent and has very beautiful views around it because it is located in the hills, if we go up to the statue with the elevator provided, we can also see some views of the beach around the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue.
