Pacita “Chit” U. Juan is the youngest of the Juan siblings. His father trained his brothers and sisters in business early. At noon, their father's siblings are picked up for lunch at the same time and if they have time, they can work for the company. They even spend their school holidays working for their company. There
Chit learned the skills and values that were key to the success of his established business. This includes respect for effort, perseverance and proper time management.
Chit's success today is the result of important decisions he made in his life. At first, business was not the first area that came to Chit's mind. Unlike the brothers, the direction he wanted to take was very different. His siblings took business-related courses, while he studied at the Hotel and Restaurant Administration. Unbeknownst to him, the road to his field was being prepared. When Chit graduated from college, he had two choices. The path chosen by his older siblings - to help with the family business; or borrow an investment from his father and build his own business. This is the decision that is expected of their family. Unexpectedly, Chit made another choice - to work.
Chit worked at the Regent of Manila hotel to apply what he learned in college. Like other employees, Chit has been hardworking and happy in his work. But his father did not allow Chit to work, he was eventually persuaded to return to their family business. It gave him a high position. He became vice president for the management of their company. Chit was not happy that he had a high position that he did not work for. Yet he still took advantage of the opportunity to continue learning in the field of entrepreneurship.
Meanwhile, he also needs to express his passions and talents. One of his hobbies is drinking coffee with friends. Along with them, they built the coffee shops Figaro. At first it was just a hobby for him, but later it became a big business that needed his full attention. His business is now thriving Figaro. It also has franchises in various regions of the Philippines. But Figaro is not just a business today. Figaro, led by Chit, saved the Philippine coffee industry.
Chit studied everything related to his new business, from coffee growing to its dying industry
in the Philippines. He knew he needed to find a way to save the Philippine coffee beans. He founded the Figaro Foundation in 1998, a foundation that aims to encourage and help farmers return to coffee cultivation.
Chit still does not tire of inspiring all Filipinos who are passionate about business. He is still studying and open to new opportunities in our town. He would never advise migrating to find success. Victory is hard work and must be provided. For Chit all his successes are participation in the development of the country. He believes in the skill and talent of the Filipinos. His mission - to inspire and encourage Filipinos to do business and recognize their own skills so that they can realize how great the Filipino race is.
